Sex workers and staff at Ashodaya Samithi, are preparing for a May 1st demonstration at the drop in center. Ashodaya Samithi--a community-based organisation in Mysore, who unites and empowers sex workers, regardless of their sexual orientation and gender. Ashodaya has been successful in mobilising sex workers to practice and promote consistent condom use and to stand up for their rights.
On a regular base the sex workers get a medical check up and if necessary full treatment for free.
