Sex workers and staff at Ashodaya Samithi, are preparing for a May 1st demonstration at the drop in center. Ashodaya Samithi--a community-based organisation in Mysore, who unites and empowers sex workers, regardless of their sexual orientation and gender. Ashodaya has been successful in mobilising sex workers to practice and promote consistent condom use and to stand up for their rights. Sex workers and staff at Ashodaya Samithi, join together with trade union members and other supporters for a May 1st demonstration, starting from the drop in center, taking them through the central of Mysore, arriving at the Mysore Palace gate just after midnight.
