Sex workers and staff at Ashodaya Samithi, join together with trade union members and other supporters for a May 1st demonstration, starting from the drop in center, taking them through the central of Mysore, arriving at the Mysore Palace gate just after midnight. Ashodaya has been successful in mobilising sex workers to practice and promote consistent condom use and to stand up for their rights. On a regular base the sex workers get a medical check up and if necessary full treatment for free.
Volunteers from Ashodaya Samithi, at the ART Centre at the K.R. Hospital in Mysore. The vounteers are all HIV positive and they guide patients when they arrrive to the HIV clinic for test and counselling.
